Prayer Requests

It takes a community to build a Habitat House.

As a faith-based organization remembering the affiliate and its work in prayer is an important way to support its work.  Perhaps you cannot support the work financially or as a volunteer but you can pray!  In so doing all who pray for Habitat's work become a very important part of that community that builds Habitat houses, that community that carries the mission of the affiliate in building hope and homes.  You are invited to go to the contact page and send us a note to let us know you are praying.  Those of us who serve as staff and on the Board of Directors appreciate it!

You are invited to pray....

  • .....for patience for us as the affiilate staff as we await a final decision on how to bring water to the 550 W. Elm building to pressurize the newly installed sprinkler system.  Pray for those who in the city leadership and the leaders of the business that installed the system as they decide the best way to route the water to the building.
  • .....for several of our partner families that have been impacted very negatively by the current economic downturn including losing jobs thus making it very difficult for them to keep up with payments. Others on fixed or limited income are finding it hard to keep up with expenses in a time of rising prices.  Pray for better times for these families.
