March/April.....Beining Contractors (Delphos) complete excavation work and slab; J.P. Timmerman Co. (Lima) installs rough-in plumbing. (Click on thumbnails at right for larger picture)

April 24....The day begins with Construction Manager Dwight Hartman reviewing safety guidelines for the volunteers gathered to help with the build.  Following the safety presentation, the volunteers gathered around the two new partner families for a brief service of worship "Blessing the Build."  With a native American flavor the group turned first to the east, then west, north, and south with prayers offered.  The highlight of the service was each partner family driving the first nail in the build.  (Click on thumbnails at right for larger picture)

April 24....The walls are raised.  The volunteer crew numbering thirty or more framed the walls of two houses before the day ended.  Although rain was forecast all day the rain waited until the work was done!  (Click on thumbnails at right for larger picture)
