Volunteer Opportunities

It takes a community to build a Habitat House.

Habitat for Humanity-Lima invits you to be part of the community that builds Habitat Houses!  Consider the following ways you might serve:

Please let us know your interests and availability by downloading, printing  and completing the Volunteer Interest Form and returning it to us.  If you are interested in volunteering in the ReStore, download and complete the speical ReStore Volunteer Form and return it.

Completing these forms will place you in our volunteer database from which we will contact you as opportunities arise.  You may mail the form to the Habitat office at 123 E. Wayne St., Lima, OH 45801, drop it off at either the affiliate office or ReStore, or after completing the form scan it and send as an attachment to habitat@wcoil.com

Current Projects Needing Volunteers

Since we do not have any houses being built at present, our need for volunteers revolves around the ReStore operations.  Our needs are described more fully below.

All affiliates operate with minimal staff depending on volunteers to carry foward the misison of the affiliate--that is to build homes with those who qualify.  Volunteers serve in many and varied roles in the affiliate--from members of the Board of Directors and committees to construction to serving customers in the ReStore.  Some volunteers come with few developed skills while others come with excellent skills.  All come eager to serve and in doing so enable an individual or family become a homeower, a virtual impossibility without Habitat for Humanity entering their lives. Habitat for Humanity-Lima Area, Inc. is deeply grateful for all who volunteer.  In doing so the community that is Lima/Allen County is made stronger, a better place for all to live!
